Navid Music is an iOS music player for accessing music resources that you own or are authorized to access. This Privacy Policy explains how Navid Music handles information, which data remains on your device, and which data is only transmitted to services you configure yourself.

1. Data Collection

Navid Music does not collect, upload, or store personally identifiable information from the app.
Navid Music does not upload the following data to any Navid Music-owned servers:
  • Device model
  • Operating system version
  • Usage logs
  • Crash reports
  • Playback history
  • Media library contents
  • Server addresses or login credentials
Navid Music does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs used for profiling users or analyzing behavior.

2. Information You Provide

You may enter or configure the following information in the app:
  • Media library server addresses
  • Usernames and passwords
  • Backup server routes
  • Custom lyrics service addresses and API keys
  • Playback, transcoding, interface, cache, and personalization settings
This information is stored only on your device and is used to connect to services you configure and to provide app functionality.

3. Network Connections and Third-Party Services

When you use Navid Music to browse or play music, data is transmitted only between your device and services you configure yourself, such as:
  • Your Navidrome, Subsonic, Emby, or other media library servers
  • Your custom lyrics services
  • External feedback links that you choose to open
Navid Music does not provide any intermediary service for relaying your music library.
If a connected server supports scrobbling or playback history syncing, the app may send track IDs and listening progress to your configured server after certain playback duration and progress conditions are met. This data is sent to your server, not to Navid Music.
Third-party services or self-hosted services that you connect may process data according to their own policies. Please review their privacy and security settings independently.

4. Cache and Local Storage

Navid Music may store the following data on your device:
  • Cached songs
  • Album artwork
  • .lrc lyric files stored alongside music files
  • Playback and interface preferences
  • Media library indexes
  • Onboarding completion status
This data is stored within the app sandbox. Where permitted by the system, some cached songs may appear in the Navid Music folder in the iOS Files app.
You can manage or delete cached content in the app’s cache settings.

5. Purchases and Navid Pro

Purchases for Navid Pro are processed by Apple through the App Store. Navid Music does not collect your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID information.
The app may store your Pro unlock status locally in order to enable related features.

6. Third-Party Links

Navid Music may include links to third-party services, such as a Discord feedback channel. When you leave the app and visit a third-party website or service, that service may process data according to its own privacy policy.
Navid Music does not control the privacy practices of third-party services. Please review their policies before using them.

7. Information Security

Navid Music takes reasonable measures to protect data stored on your device, including storing credentials and cached content within the app sandbox.
However, the security of any server you connect depends on your deployment environment, network configuration, and account security practices. Please protect your servers, accounts, and passwords appropriately.

8. Children’s Privacy

Navid Music does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app functions only as a music player and media library client and does not provide social features, advertising, or user tracking.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
